Tribute to a Special Friend

Tribute to a Special Friend

“What we have once enjoyed
we can never lose; All that we love deeply, becomes a part of us.” – Helen Keller.

I love the picture of Sassy above. It reminds me of the freedom she enjoyed as she played in the park near our home. She ran through the park–jumping like a deer–and had great fun as she explored every part of the park.

Sassy was 16 when she died–a good long life for a dog.

It has been almost two months since we lost her and though the feeling of loss has lessened, we still miss her every day.

It brings comfort to know that we gave her a wonderful life–she was a pampered pup for sure.

Here she is in her comfy basket on her perch by the living room window.

She loved looking out the window at all of the action out there–lots to see–birds and squirrels, skunks, raccoons and groundhogs.

Though she is no longer with us, we have many pictures and video clips that will always remind us of the wonderful years we spent together.

She was a special friend!

Until next time.
